Different than other

Unit is inspirational, very different approach than other known brands, lo-fi sounds. It's all OK, but the general look, weight and finish is truly opposite and non-inspirational. Almost to the level you dont wanna use it anymore. It's build like a cheapest toy, every keyboard button just moves around and is unstable. All unit, in general - feels low quality, weights like its nothing inside, and I think it all moves the charm away from this great approach to a "new" kind of synth. To sum it with one sentencem I'd go for: cheap toy outside with a great sounds.

Fantastic Lofi dream

This unit has a fantastic character of sound all of it's own. Most functions are straightforward and not too much menu diving. It's a very tactile surface and will be great for on the fly editing during a performance. It's helpful to have real MIDI sockets instead of another USB clogging up the computer and a clean, intuitive surface workflow but it's the sound it can conjure that makes this unit a must. I wholeheartedly recommend the lofi 12, absolutely love it !

Super fun sample groove box

First the sound: Lofi oriented but in a very good way.
Possibilities: though it can seems limited it can turn any sound into Instrument, sample loops, or turn a loop into a programmable drum.
The sequencer is super fun, though it require a little learning curve, but four tracks and parameter lock let you create in a quick way.
Some live application are like filter sweep, stutter, pattern change, mute make it a jam oriented machine

I was looking for a sampler, eventually landing on the LoFi-12.
First of all, I love the battery operation and the jam sessions in the woods are incredible with this thing! It really goes by the "limitations breed creativity". Very fun to mess around with and to pair with other gear. The sampling process is really quick and fun. The functions and menu I think are sometimes a bit overwhelming and non-intuitive. I would love a usb port for better sample overview and also batch sample upload, although I see what they were going for. The build quality is okay but nothing to write home about. I really like the keyboard part, would be perfect if the keys had velocity sensitivity and were rubber instead of plastic. I think the unit is inviting modifications and circuit bending (after warranty ends lol), I don't know if there's a community for that but there should be!
Overall a fun lil sampler.
